MileLog ("we", "our", or "the app") is an offline fuel and mileage tracker. Your privacy matters. This Privacy Policy explains what data MileLog handles, how it's stored, and what happens when you use optional features such as Google Drive backup.

1. Information we collect

MileLog does not collect, transmit, or sell your personal information to us or any third party. The data you enter — vehicles, fuel entries, odometer readings, costs, and notes — is stored locally on your device.

2. Google Drive backup (optional)

If you choose to enable Google Drive backup, MileLog requests permission to access only an app-specific folder in your own Google Drive. We use the drive.file scope, which means MileLog can only see and manage files it creates. We cannot read or modify any other files in your Drive.

• Backup files are uploaded directly from your device to your Google account.
• We do not receive, store, or process your backup data on our servers — we have no servers that store user data.
• You can disconnect Google Drive sync at any time from the app's Settings screen.
• You may delete backup files directly from your Google Drive at any time.

3. Permissions

• Storage — to save your local database and Excel exports.
• Internet — only used when Google Drive backup is enabled.
• Google account access — only when you sign in for Drive backup.

4. Analytics & advertising

MileLog contains no advertising and no third-party analytics SDKs. We do not track your usage of the app.

5. Children's privacy

MileLog is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

6. Data retention & deletion

Because your data is stored locally, uninstalling the app removes all local data. To delete Google Drive backups, sign in to your Google Drive and delete the MileLog backup files.

7. Security

We follow industry-standard practices for the limited functionality we provide. Communication with Google Drive uses HTTPS. However, no transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
